Just a day after Four Tops singer Alexander Morris filed a lawsuit against a Michigan hospital for racial discrimination, he's revealing new details about the encounter.
The 53-year-old singer revealed on Wednesday that he's suing the Ascension Macomb Oakland Hospital in Warren, Michigan after they branded him 'delusional.'
When he revealed himself as a singer in the beloved group Four Tops (which he joined in 2018, the newest member of the group), the staff didn't believe him and nearly ordered him to undertake a psychiatric evaluation.
Now Morris is adding more details in a new interview on TMZ Live, where he revealed they offered a $25 gift card as an apology for the unsettling incident.
The incident happened in April 2023, when he was showing symptoms of a heart attack, which lead to the hospital visit.

'Easter Weekend, my wife and I are spending time with our daughters, I took ill, called EMS,' Morris began.
'During the process of the intake, when I was asked about my employment, I stated that I was one of the members of the Four Tops from Motown, and that my position within the group was as lead singer, standing in for Levi Stubbs,' he said.
'Pretty soon, they rode me out into the hallway, where I remained for close to three hours or a little more,' Morris continued.
He added that during those three hours, he was asking for both oxygen and for a blanket because he was cold, before the emergency room doctor arrived.
Morris explained the doctor asked why he was there and he 'gave him my medical history' and he said they were going to get him, 'evaluated.'
'They take me back into the triage room again and there's a security guard that is standing there,' Morris said, adding he was asked to surrender his jewelry and his cell phone.
He said his wife was in the waiting room and he'd give the jewelry to her, so they went to get her, but he was surprised when hey asked for his cell phone.
'I said, "No, I'm gonna keep the phone with me," and he said, "No, you're gonna put the phone in he bag."'

Morris told him, 'I've been in the hospital enough and I've never had anyone take my cell phone from me.'
The security guard told him, 'You'll get all your stuff back when you get back from psych eval,' as Morris admitted he was, 'thrown off' when he said psych eval.
'I honestly thought they had me mixed up with another patient. And then it kinda dawned on me, and about this time my wife walked in the room and I waved her to me, I said, "These folks think I'm delusional because I said I'm a Four Top."'
He asked the security guard if he could show him something, but he told him, 'Nothing you have, do I want to see, or do I need to see.'
He added that he went to put on a regular hospital gown after removing his clothing and instead they took that off and put him into a, 'restraint gown,' essentially a straight jacket, which goes from his shoulders to just above his ankles.
Morris eventually asked a nurse to show her something, and he showed her a video of him singing at the Grammy's at a tribute for Smokey Robinson and Berry Gordy.
'She says, "Oh my God. Oh my God. That's really you. That's you," and she tears off through the emergency room,' he says, adding a few minutes later she came back with a doctor, who was very apologetic.
'Mr. Morris, Mr. Morris... you don't need... I've canceled the psych eval, you don't need that, I've canceled it, we're gonna get you out of that gown, get you into a regular gown, and into a different room,' Morris said.
He added that he was in that hospital for five days, and that he had to 'fight to get them to bring someone of authority for me to even make a grievance.'

Morris also said when he asked for a copy of the grievance, he was told that patients don't get copies of the grievances.
He added the nurse turned around to her and said, 'We would like to just give you something, from us to you for the mishap, the miscommunication or misinformation that was received. We just want to give you something, just a token to let you know that all is well. And she proceeded to give me a $25 gift card to Meijer's.'
He concluded with, 'It doesn't matter a person's color, creed, nationality, ethnicity, orientation or what have you. A human life is worth more than $25. I don't care if the person is homeless or has status in the community or no status at all.'
