I am 12 weeks 6 days and struggling to button my Jeans. I’ve sized up on some workout clothes and lounge wear but I feel like it’s too early to buy maternity clothes since i technically don’t have a bump yet just an expanded belly lol. How are y’all getting by while waiting for your actual bump?

13 weeks 4 days. I bought some maternity clothes. I'm not exactly wearing my leggings/biker shorts yet because my belly isn't showing much, but I did sport my maternity shorts yesterday. I also have jeans, overalls, t shirts and tanks that I bought.

@Babyschadlermtb24,
okay I guess I’ll go ahead and bite the bullet! I just have this fear that I’m gonna need to buy them again even bigger but I guess they’re made to grow into!

@Anj6071,
I got some really inexpensive items off SHEIN! They fit super well so far. I’m expecting twins and my belly is growing rapidly.

@BabyCandme98,
oh that’s great to know! I honestly have heard many great things about SHEIN maternity! And that seems like a good place to start with the prices as well. Omg congrats on your TWINS!! That’s so exciting

I’ve been wearing maternity clothes since 6 weeks cause everything else has been uncomfortable on my tummy I figure if it’s too loose I’ll grow into it but I’ll sacrifice that for being comfortable! I’m 13w5d by the way

@Anj6071,
maternity pants are so comfy I’m seriously considering altering the band to be tighter after I give birth so I can wear them when I’m not pregnant!

@artistforlife,
unfortunately I Live in south Texas with 100 degree heat + humidity so I don’t think I’ll be in jeans until after I deliver after thanksgiving but I did want to find me a good pair of denim shorts! Hoping they’ll be the same

Maternity clothes are made to grow with you so whenever you’re ready, you can buy some! Bloating died down a lot for me in second trimester so I wore my regular clothes until at least 20 weeks. Then I ripped my jeans at work and it was time lol

@ftm2722,
not the ripped jeans I’m worried about a button popping off and hurting someone I can get the jeans on but the minute I sit it’s game over

@Anj6071,
hahahah could you imagine! I recommend old navy for maternity clothes, they have a ton of different styles from loose summery dresses, linen shorts and pants, slacks, leggings, and jeans! And they’re allllways having sales. Everything I got was very comfortable and lasted pretty well throughout my pregnancy (the leggings I actually still wear two years postpartum! And I’m well below pre pregnancy weight). I gained 65lbs and everything still fit towards the end, although I did retire jeans around 35ish weeks lol

@ftm2722,
okay that’s great to hear!! I was nervous that I would buy things and then need them to be bigger but I guess that is the point of maternity clothes lol

As soon as my clothes felt uncomfortable, I bought maternity. I’d go with how you feel and what feels best! Amazon has some great stuff for cheap

I’ll be 14 weeks tomorrow and I’m just living in casual sun dresses when I leave the house or pjs when I’m at home lol nothing else fits and I also don’t have a bump yet so I am in the same boat!

I've mostly been wearing leggings or bike shorts. once it's a bit warmer I plan on wearing dresses.

Once I hit my second tri I was able to wear my normal leggings again! I’ve only bought a couple maternity things and some loose dresses that I can wear pp. I’m 27 weeks and getting by with those options. Target also has really good maternity biker shorts

I’m 11 weeks so almost there but I’ve only been losing weight and even noticed my stomach has gotten smaller, my ob says it’s normal but I’ve lost around 13 pounds and am wondering when I’ll gain weight.

@Audri20000,
that’s crazy I’ve heard of some weight loss in the first tri but didn’t think it was that much. Have you been very sick?

@Anj6071,
yes it’s been awful with my zofran I’m still vomiting 1-3 times a day without it I’d vomit all day and I couldn’t take in anything not even water without vomiting. I’m hoping it clears up soon.

@Audri20000,
I’m sorry to hear that! I hope you’re at the last stretch of it since you’ll be in the second trimester soon this happened to a friend of mine as well I don’t know the exact number of pounds she lost but it was visible when I went to go visit her around week 15-16 she was feeling and looking much better

I wore leggings/sweats and yoga pants all under my belly button until 20 weeks. Then I bought a couple pairs of maternity biker shorts and dresses off Amazon, super comfy.

I’m living in lularoe leggings, tunics, dresses and skirts with tank tops.
I did buy some maternity tanks and I love them!
I’ve struggled with bras bc my boobies are ginormous!
Target had the tanks and the bras and I’m quite pleased.
